It’s always exciting to work on a dragon, so when the opportunity came up on 47 Ronin , we jumped at it. This Chinese dragon had a serpentine body, numerous tentacles, and the ability to breathe fire, making it a fascinating challenge to animate.

The character was an evil sorceress transformed into a dragon, so it wasn’t entirely animalistic in its thinking. This unique blend of human cunning and feral instinct added an extra layer of complexity and creativity to the process
